About the thrift shop

The IODE Thrift Shop in Oakville is your destination for exceptional second-hand shopping. Since our foremothers opened the first shop in 1943 on Colbourne Street, we have been a go-to for our community. That’s 81-years in business, over 5 locations. 

Customers return to our squeaky clean store for our friendly volunteer staff and high-quality goods. Looking for a charming tea set, your next page-turner, a dress for date night or something flashy for your ring finger or perhaps you would like a necklace and earrings We have you covered! All clothing fits the present season and we do have items for that handsome gentleman as well.

Everything for sale is donated. We take someone's old treasure and turn it into someone’s new treasure. No trash here!

And it's all for a good cause. The IODE is a charity and the money raised goes towards organizations in need. We also provide funding to Sheridan College and supplies for a school in Labrador. Plus, one student from each local high school receives an award every year thanks to support from customers like you.
