Education at all levels is a prime focus of the Angela Bruce Chapter IODE. Three groups benefit from our support.
HIGH SCHOOL BURSARIES
We are pleased to award a bursary every year to a graduating student from each of the high schools in Oakville. Students applying for the bursary use "The Hub", organized through the Oakville Community Foundation. Here they will find a description of the bursary, eligibility requirements, and application procedures.
Bursaries will be awarded in June.

SHERIDAN COLLEGE BURSARIES
In keeping with our mission of supporting education within our community, the IODE Angela Bruce Chapter provides 3 different bursary categories for Sheridan College students, Oakville campus. We currently offer an Outstanding Achievement Award for a 2nd year student in the Musical Theatre Program, three IODE Memorial Bursaries for deserving students as well as The Connie Papple Angela Bruce Chapter Bursary.
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
We have an adopted class of Grade 3 students at Mushuau Innu Natuashish School, a First Nations school in Natuashish, Labrador.
Once or twice a year we send boxes of supplies to the school that include things that the teachers have told us they need, such as math & science based games, maps, reading books, flash cards, motivational stickers, classroom supplies and fun interactive crafts. We also ensure that each child is sent handknitted baclava, hat or a pair of waterproof mittens, socks or some other personal item.
